Young Roustabouts Youth Theatre Divison
The Youth Roustabouts is an ongoing collaboration between The Roustabouts Theatre Co. and Kids on Stage Productions, created to support and inspire young actors across San Diego County. Open to performers of all experience levels, the program offers meaningful learning experiences, focused training, and opportunities to grow on stage.
Rooted in a love of theatre and community, Youth Roustabouts fosters creativity, confidence, and connection, inviting young performers to develop their craft while becoming part of the extended TRTC family.
Acting & Improvisation Workshop
Young Roustabouts are back! Don't miss an exciting Acting & Improvisation Workshop for ages 10-18, taught by professional teaching artists from The Roustabouts Theatre!
Young actors will build confidence and creativity while learning how to use improvisational skills in productions, rehearsals, auditions, and everyday life. Those interested in monologue work will have the opportunity for one-on-one coaching, while other participants learn and grow by observing the process. This workshop is perfect for students of all experience levels who want to sharpen their performance skills in a fun, supportive environment!
Oliver
The Roustabouts Youth Division is excited to present Oliver, an immersive performing arts experience for ages 10–18. This is a dynamic opportunity for young performers to sharpen their acting, singing, and movement skills while working as part of a vibrant ensemble. The experience builds toward live performances that bring the heart, humor, and music of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic to the stage.
