Abby Binder

A regular on San Diego stages, Linda is delighted to be in such hilarious company! Linda is an associate artist at Cygnet and Lambs Players. She was the first woman awarded Actor of the Year by the SD Critics Circle. Some favorite San Diego credits include: Oklahoma, The Importance of Being Earnest, Cabaret, Rocky Horror, Handbagged, and An Iliad. She premiered the new musical, Mrs. Christmas directed by Karole Foreman in Long Beach, and is excited to bring the new Christmas classic to San Diego’s Vision: A Center for Spiritual Living in December. Linda is married to actor Eddie Yaroch and very proud to be a working San Diego based actor.

Eileen is a San Diego native and is very proud to be back at The Roustabouts Theatre Co.! She was last seen as Tallulah Bankhead in Looped (Critics Circle nomination). Other regional productions include The Addams Family, Cinderella, Tootsie, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Moonlight Theatre); Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (Critics Circle Award); DeDe in Joe vs. the Volcano (Critics Circle nomination); Pete ’n’ Keely (Critics Circle nomination); Festival of Christmas and Jewel in the Crown; and Miss Rona in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Lamb’s Players Theatre). Additional credits include Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense; Soap Star in Menopause The Musical (Lawrence Welk Theater); Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow (Intrepid Shakespeare Company); and, at Cygnet Theatre, Lily Garland in On the Twentieth Century, Amy in Company, and A Christmas Carol.

Eileen is also a very proud alumna of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, having spent 11 wonderful years with the production at The Old Globe Theatre. She is perhaps best known for opening the 61st Academy Awards as Snow White opposite Rob Lowe many moons ago.

John is thrilled to be working with The Roustabouts Theatre Co in this production of Ripcord. Samantha is thrilled to be back getting silly with Phil Johnson! Sam was most recently seen as God Herself in “An Act of God” with TRTC. Other credits include; Hand to God (The Roustabouts), Hickorydickory (Craig Noel Award) The Revolutionists, Minneola Twins (Moxie Theatre), Well, Scrooge in Rouge (Diversionary Theatre), How High the Moon (WOW Festival at La Jolla Playhouse), and The Servant of Two Masters (co-writer), The Miss Firecracker Contest, Sylvia (New Village Arts). Sam has also directed The Roommate (New Village Arts) and Falling  (InnerMission Productions). This role is dedicated to her favorite young actor who happens to be her niece and who also happens to be named Colleen!

Eddy Lukovic

Benjamin, Lewis & Clown

Eddy is thrilled to be a part of this hilarious and thoughtful story with The Roustabouts Theatre Co! Some favorite local acting credits include: Witch (Trinity Theater), Lost in Yonkers (Scripps Ranch Theatre), and Turning Off the Morning News (OnStage Playhouse). Eddy is a San Diego native who has trained extensively with SITI Company out of NYC, and is also an aspiring director, having recently directed Rabbit Hole for Trinity Theater earlier this year. A heartfelt thank you to his family and friends who consistently support his artistic work.

David Lindsay-Abaire

Playwright

David Lindsay-Abaire is a Pulitzer Prize–winning American playwright, screenwriter, and lyricist known for blending dark humor with emotional depth. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Rabbit Hole, and his work often explores themes of loss, resilience, and human connection. In addition to writing plays such as Ripcord and Good People, he has contributed to film and musical theater, including the book and lyrics for Shrek the Musical and screenwriting credits for major motion pictures.

Phil Johnson

Director

Phil Johnsonis Artistic Director/ founder of The Roustabouts Theatre Co. (10thyear), directing Act of God, Master Class, True West, Looped, Hand to God, Savoyard Murders, and readings of Falsettos, All My Sons, The Little Foxes, 12 Angry Men, Doubt, & others. He’s acted at most SD theaters and played in numerous original solo shows including A Jewish Joke Off-Broadway in NYC 2019 and around the country. As an actor, he’s played in Les Misérables on Broadway and tour; the Canadian production of Sunset Boulevard; and the 1st National Co. of Miss Saigon. Phil is a two-time winner of the SD Critics Circle Craig Noel Award for acting, and a founder of the San Diego Theatre Alliance. He started the Great Jewish American Playwright Series/JPlays at the JCC, and this year was named Producer of the Year by the SD Writer’s Festival. philjohnson.net

David Kievit

Set Design

This is David’s second season with The Roustabouts Theatre Co. Last season he designed lights for Master Class and the set & lights for An Act of God. He’s taught technical theatre and design at NYU, Brookdale College, NJ; Masters School, NY; Grossmont College, El Cajon, CA; and The Taft School, CT. Representative local design credits include: Glass Menagerie and The Fantastics (Grossmont); La Pastorela (The Old Globe); West Side Story and Footloose (CCT on Mount Helix); Pinocchio (SD Jr.); Matilda and Sound of Music (J Co. La Jolla); and Flaming Idiots (NYC; Taft; and Lamplighter’s in La Mesa, CA).

Heather Dunn

Costume Design

Heather recently earned her MFA from San Diego State University, where she designed RENT as well as the world premiere of Ziggy, Stardust & Me. Locally, her work includes Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Cygnet Theatre), Lend Me a Soprano and Theatre People, or the Angel Next Door (Scripps Ranch Theatre), Our Dear Dead Drug Lord (Moxie Theatre), and Boy My Greatness, Twelfth Night of the Living Dead, and Gruesome Playground Injuries (Loud Fridge Theatre Group). Originally from Portland, Oregon, she has designed for Broadway Rose, Outer East Playhouse, and Staged.

Michelle Miles

Lighting Design

Michelle has supported San Diego local theatre for over a decade, serving as an LD, Lead Electrician, ASM and paraeducator. Past show favorites include The Roustabouts Theatre Co.'s True West and The Savoyard Murders; SDMT's Matilda, Sweeney Todd, Urinetown, and Young Frankenstein; Lamb's Players Theatre's 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; and SRT's Theatre People, or the Angel Next Door. When not tinkering with electronics, climbing ladders and vigorously tapping keys on the light board she can be found somewhere in the wilderness- searching for that moment where the world feels big and she feels small. Cristyn brings an extensive background in theatre to her role as Associate Producer with The Roustabouts Theatre. Her experience spans audition coordination, house management, and marketing management, giving her a well-rounded perspective on both the artistic and operational sides of production. A proud member of San Diego’s vibrant theatre community, Cristyn has graced many local stages and is thrilled to continue supporting bold, meaningful work in the region.
