A divorced couple, Michael and Rebecca haven't seen each other in over ten years. After a chance encounter at Grand Central Station, both of them find new connections with each other as they comb through the bevy of old emotions as they strive to move forward. The past and future come together in this dramedy about the present state of modern love.

Steven Lone

Steven Lone is excited to be making his debut on The Roustabouts stage. Steven was last seen playing Thom Seymour in Cygnet Theatre’s production of The Virgin Trial. Born and raised in San Francisco, Steven moved here to attend UC San Diego where he graduated with a degree in Theatre. His favorite recent credits include: Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice, Thom in The Last Wife and Jackie in The Motherf**ker With The Hat (Cygnet Theatre), Ray in Roz & Ray (Craig Noel Award Nominee, San Diego Repertory Theatre) The Uber Driver in Car Plays: Interchange (La Jolla Playhouse), Juan Julian in Anna in the Tropics (Moonlight Stage Productions), and Mace in The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety (Craig Noel Award Nominee, Ion Theatre Co.). Steven would like to send his love and appreciation to all his friends and family for their continuous support, patience, and understanding through the years while he runs off to play every night on stage.

Allison Spratt Pearce

Allison Spratt Pearce hails from New York where she was seen on Broadway & Off B-way in Curtains, Good Vibrations, Cry Baby, Enter Laughing, and Cabaret (National Tour). Here in San Diego her highlights include: originating the roles of Anita Bryant in The Loneliest Girl in the World (Diversionary), Jane in Emma (The Old Globe), Janice in Come From Away, Victoria in Sideways (La Jolla Playhouse). Also Emily in Disgraced, Suzanna in Black Pearl Sings (SD Rep), Louise in Gypsy -2017 Craig Noel Award Winner, Eliza in My Fair Lady, Katherine Parr in The Last Wife (Cygnet), Victor/ia in Victor Victoria (Moonlight), Maria in The Sound of Music, Amalia in She Loves Me (SDMT), Phoebe in As You Like It, Viola in Twelfth Night (The Old Globe). You may see her in "Camping World,” "Mission Fed," "Jerome's Furniture," and "Super Dentist" commercials as well as many print ads. Many national/regional commercials and ads. Matthew Salazar-Thompson

Matthew Salazar-Thompson is a playwright born in Los Angeles and raised in San Diego. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University, his MA in Theatre from San Diego State University, and his MFA in Creative Writing with a double emphasis in fiction and playwriting from UC Riverside. He has been commissioned by The San Diego Repertory Theatre (Star Crossed), North Coast Repertory Theatre (The Little Mermaid, The Perfectly Preposterous Pirate Adventure of Solana Beach, Ted Williams: A Tip of the Cap, Mistletoe, Music & Mayhem!), Compass Theatre (9066, The 146 Point Flame), New Fortune Theatre (Cellar Door, Switching Tracks), Coronado Playhouse (If the Shoe Fits, A Roman Holiday), The Road Theatre (Who's on Alpha?), and Point Loma Playhouse (The Complete History of Theatre (abridged), A Christmas Carol: The Classic Radio Drama). His play, Who's Afraid of Me, Myself and Edward Albee? was conceived of and mentored by Edward Albee himself over the course of several years. In 2016 Mr. Thompson collaborated with La Mama Experimental Theatre Group in Umbria, Italy with resident master playwright Mac Wellman in the development of his comedy The Complete History of Theatre (abridged) and the revision of The 146 Point Flame. Switching Tracks was a semi-finalist for the Detroit New Works Festival in 2017. Grants include the MiraStar Playwright Award and Direct to Arts Award from the city of Solana Beach. His plays have been published through Dramatic Publishing, Heuer Publishing, Eldridge Publishing, Brooklyn Publishing, and Norman Maine Publishing. His non-fiction is published through Arcadia Publishing while his novel is available via e-Kindle. ​Currently, he heads the Playwriting Department at San Diego City College where he teaches He has also taught at UCSD Extension, MiraCosta College, College of the Desert and Southwestern College.

Jacole Kitchen

Jacole Kitchen is the Artistic Programs Manager & Local Casting Director at La Jolla Playhouse, where she produces community-based projects, including for and with veterans and other groups that are underserved in American Theatre. She also manages the local casting process for Playhouse productions, readings and developmental workshops. In addition to her position at LJP, Jacole is a freelance director, theatre instructor, and private acting coach. Previously, Jacole served as Casting Director and Artistic Associate for San Diego Repertory Theatre, and spent six years in Los Angeles as a bicoastal talent agent at Kazarian/Measures/Ruskin & Assoc, representing actors, directors, and choreographers for professional theatre. Jacole serves as Executive Director for San Diego Performing Arts League (SDPAL).

Kira Vine

Kira Vine [she/her] is a freelance stage manager, proud to be a working artist in San Diego. The Roustabouts: Debut.
